Conference dinner
The Conference Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday 25 June 2025 from 7 pm, and takes place on Gurten-Park. The venue is about 45 minutes from the conference venue and reachable by tram and funicular.
We are in the Huusbüffe self-service restaurant in the big building. Just walk up the short ramp when leaving the funicular. The menu is a free choice of salad, rösti specialites, a dessert and beverages from the self-service area.
Route and Tickets
Take the tram 9 from Bahnhof or Hirschengraben to Gurtenbahn (direction of Wabern), then the Gurtenbahn funicular, see the SBB timetable.
The tram ticket from Hirschengraben to Wabern, Gurtenbahn is not included in our Conference Dinner package, but travel is free in case you have a Bern Ticket.
The Conference Dinner package includes the ticket for the funicular from Gurtenbahn to Gurten Kulm:
- Free tickets for the funicular can only be bought online via https://shop.gurtenbahn.ch and are only valid on 25 June
- Book a return ticket from Gurtenbahn to Gurten Kulm.
- In the shopping cart, insert the promo code that you received via email from the conference organizers.
- The shopping cart should then show CHF 0.00.

Come with us
For all those who prefer to have a guide, we’ll start from Grosse Schanze (venue of the Icebreaker) at 18:00, take the tram 9 at Hirschengraben at 18:11, and the funicular at 18:30 or 18:45 at Gurtenbahn. Be prepared for limited space in the public transport.
Hike up
Take one of the many hiking options.
Count with approx. 50 minutes for the shortest route:
Go on a stroll
Take the Gurtenbahn (runs every 15 minutes), then climb the observation tower or take a stroll to the viewing point before meeting at the restaurant.
